The Merrill Bradshaw archive

23 February 2006

nice website at BYU about LDS composer Merrill Bradshaw. It features sections on His Life, His Music, and His Words. He wrote an a cappella piece set to the text of the Articles of Faith as well as many other excellent LDS religious works. Here is a picture of him at the piano with my grandfather, Ralph Laycock (who is standing at the left).

Where can i purchase the music book ‘Hymns for Relief Society choirs” copyriithted 1975 by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? If I can’t purchase the books, where do I get permission to copy the music?

I e-mailed Merrill Bradshaw’s son and he said that Jackman music has been considering publishing it again. It currently isn’t listed on their website though. So either way, he said that they are the ones who could grant permission to copy. Here is their website: http://www.jackmanmusic.com
